How to set up the perfect spinning wheel

Creating a custom spinning wheel on RotaPop is quick, completely free, and gives you total control over your team's rotation logic. Whether you're assigning household chores, picking a student for an answer, or determining who runs the morning stand-up meeting, our tool is built for absolute fairness and zero repetitive results.

1. Add Your Names

Type in the names of your team members, students, or family members. You can add as many names as you need. These names will be evenly distributed across the segments of the wheel. Don't worry—you can always add or remove names later using the Admin settings if someone joins or leaves the group.

2. Choose Your Cadence (Spin Limits)

One of the biggest problems with standard randomizers is that people spin them multiple times to get the result they want. RotaPop solves this by letting you set a strict cadence limit. You can lock the wheel so it can only be spun once per day, once per week, or every two weeks. This ensures the result is final and securely binds everyone to the agreed schedule.

3. Set Up Passwords

Keep your wheel secure by setting optional access and admin passwords. The Access Password allows people to view the wheel and mark themselves as "On Holiday." The Admin Password is strictly for modifying the core settings, resetting the rotation history, or deleting the wheel entirely. If you want the wheel to be public, simply leave these fields blank!
